Overview

The tender is for surface repairs to roads, sidewalks and trench reinstatements in the West Region of eThekwini Municipality for 24 months, open to CIDB contractor grading 4 CE or higher. Eligible bidders should have roadworks experience and the capacity to operate in Durban’s West Region.

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading designation of 4 CE (or higher).

• Registration and active status on the National Treasury CSD, the eThekwini Supplier Portal, and access to the JDE system.
• Valid CIDB, B-BBEE certificates, and Tax Compliance PINs at tender closing; CSD verification required.
• Audited financial statements if tender value exceeds R10 million; provide contracts awarded in the past 5 years.
• Municipal rates and taxes clearance; no undisputed arrears (arrears arrangements must be in place at closing if applicable).
• Tender validity of 12 months; comply with JV requirements if applicable (joint venture agreements and separate PINs for each party).
• Price with 80/20 Price Preference points as per SCM Policy.
