Overview

PetroSA invites tenders for the purchase and removal of surplus drilling, subsea and oilfield equipment located at the Voorbaai Logistics Base, Mossel Bay. The materials are offered voetstoots (as is) in defined lots, with inspection prior to bidding and collection coordinated with PetroSA’s Security and Safety Departments. Suitable for bidders with experience in scrap handling or industrial/refinery environments and compliance with SA environmental and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Registration and regulatory compliance: Second-Hand Goods Act registration with SAPS certificate (and scrap-metal dealer/ recycler registration if applicable); environmental compliance under NEM Act and NEM Waste Act.
• Health, safety and security: site access protocols, inductions, PPE, and security clearance as required.
• Experience: demonstrated prior experience in scrap handling or disposal, preferably in industrial/refinery settings.
• Tender conditions: bids for the entire lot only (no partial offers); bids valid for 60 days from closing.
• Inspection and risk: bidders may inspect the material prior to tendering; “voetstoots” sale with no workability warranties beyond on-site familiarity.
• Lifting and costs: successful bidder must lift within 30 days of acceptance; delays incur rent and 1% of bid value per week.
• Environmental/operational: ensure removal complies with applicable environmental regulations; site access and safety compliance are mandatory.
