Overview

Technical Assessment and Repair/Replacement of Gas Suppression Systems at PetroSA Refinery in Mossel Bay. The project covers site audits and possible replacement of two gas suppression installations (CO2 in Document Control and FM-200 in Admin IT) with integration, commissioning, and updated drawings. Suitable bidders are certified Automatic Gas Suppression Specialists and PetroSA suppliers with relevant system experience, BBBEE compliance, and ability to work on PetroSA sites.

Requirements

• Site audit and assessment of two gas suppression installations; verify configuration, operation, coverage, and standards (SANS 369, SANS 10139, NFPA 2001); identify obsolete equipment and gaps; deliver a detailed audit report.
• Proposals to replace/repair legacy systems, maintain viable infrastructure, include commissioning/testing plan and updated drawings; include costing and lead times (Bill of Quantities, installation, engineering, commissioning, maintenance options).
• Minimum qualifications: certified Automatic Gas Suppression Specialist Company; ability to integrate with existing fire panels/systems.
• Pre-qualification: at least BBBEE Level 4 or be an EME/QSE; subcontracting rules: no more than 25% to non-BBBEE; if subcontracting more, disclose details and BBBEE status.
• Contract duration: 36 months; pricing per CBA annual cost summary; include safety/file requirements.
• Compliance: PFMA governance, POPI, and required site access procedures.

• Site access: ID required; 30-minute induction and alcohol test; attendance costs on bidder.
