Overview

Procurement of upgrading the Kroonvale 11kV overhead power line in Graaff-Reinet, including procurement, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of new structures and conductor, with outages coordinated on a live network; open to CIDB-registered contractors with a minimum 3EP rating, authorised by Eskom for self-build works, and CIDB and CSD registrations.

Requirements

• CIDB grading 3EP or higher and Eskom self-build authorization.
• All bidders and every JV partner must be CIDB-registered and must be registered with the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Compulsory site briefing attendance (29 September 2026, 11:00; Robert Sobukwe Building, Graaff-Reinet); non-attendance disqualifies.
• Tender documents available for R113.70 (including VAT); payment by EFT to the municipality with deposit reference.
• Ability to coordinate outages and work on or near live equipment in accordance with the OHSA and municipal regulations.
• Tenders evaluated for responsiveness and functionality under the PPFA Regulations 2022 and the Municipality SCM Policy.
