TENDER FOR LEASING OF A WATER BOWSER UNDER FRAMEWORK CONTRACTING FOR ROAD REHABILITATION WORKS IN KIAMBU COUNTYClosed

Overview

Procurement of leasing of a water bowser under framework contracting for road rehabilitation works in Kiambu County. Open competitive national tender to lease water bowser services and related support (maintenance, installation, training, etc.) for the County Government of Kiambu’s Roads, Transport, Public Works and Utilities directorate under a framework contract.

Requirements

• Comply with anti-corruption and independent tender requirements; sign the Certificate of Independent Tender Determination and provide declarations not to engage in fraud or debarment (2.1–2.2).
• Eligible tenderers; no conflicts of interest; JV permitted up to 2 members with jointly and severally liable representatives (3.1, 3.3–3.4, 1.1 in TDS).
• Tender Security or Tender-Securing Declaration; security valid beyond tender validity (28 days) as specified (18.1–18.4, 18.5–18.7).
• Tax compliance: provide valid Kenya Tax Clearance Certificate (3.13; 16.2(c)).
• Local representation: if tenderers not operating in Kenya, appoint an agent in-country to perform obligations (16.2(b)).
• Lease items eligibility: origin from eligible countries; items must meet environmental and technical requirements; provide spare parts and conformity documentation (4.1–4.4; 15.2–15.4).
• Alternative tenders: not permitted (ITT 12.1).
• Prices in Kenyan shillings; fixed prices; schedule of quantities complete (ITT 14.1, 13.4, 11.2).

How to Apply

• Deadline: submit by 12 Oct 2026, 10:00 (hard copy, no electronic submission) (ITT 21.1; TDS notes).
• Submission/Opening: deliver sealed Tender to Kiambu County Headquarters (Ground Floor, Boardroom); opening immediately after deadline (ITTs 20–24; TDS).
• Documents to submit (per Section IV): Form of Tender; Price Schedules; Tender Security or Tender-Securing Declaration; JV agreement or letter of intent if applicable; owner authorization if required; tax clearance; eligibility and conformity documents; evidence of origin of Lease Items; spare parts list; any other TDS-required forms.
• Copies: one original plus one copy (ITT 19.1–19.3).
• Clarifications: submit in writing to tenders@kiambu.go.ke; response and addenda issued as described in ITT 6; clarifications due by 5 days from advert date (TDS ITT6).
