Overview

Procurement of support and maintenance services for the Fortinet cyber security solutions. The Kenya Power & Lighting Company (KPLC) invites eligible ICT/cyber security providers to bid for Fortinet support and maintenance under an open, online tender. Submissions are via KPLC’s E-procurement Portal (RFx No. 1000003275; TENDER NO. KP1/9A.2/OT/090/ICT/25-26).

Requirements

• Compliance with Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, anti-corruption declarations, and eligibility rules; avoid conflicts of interest.
• JV flexibility: joint ventures allowed with clear representation and joint liability; JV agreements or intent required.
• Foreign bidders must meet at least 40% local content; provide evidence.
• Tax compliance: valid tax clearance or certificate.
• Conformity with Section VII requirements; ability to provide Fortinet-related non-consulting services.
• Minimum qualification and eligibility as per Section III; complete Form of Tender and supporting documents.
• Optional site visit; Pre-bid meeting not held; amendments via addenda.

• Submit Tenders online on or before the stated deadline: 8 July 2026 at 08:00 (tender metadata). Tender opening will follow, with attendance optional (Auditorium, Stima Plaza) (TENDER DOCUMENT).
• Include: Form of Tender, priced Activity Schedule, Tender Security or Tender-Securing Declaration, JV documents if applicable, evidence of eligibility and qualifications, and conformity proofs (TENDER DOCUMENT).
