TENDER FOR PROVISION OF INSURANCE SERVICES FOR FIRE BURGLARY AND FIDELITY

Overview

Provision of insurance services for fire, burglary and fidelity for Kenyatta University. Open to Insurance brokers or underwriters providing fire, burglary and fidelity insurance, registered with the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA), and Kenyan entities only (with tax/licensing compliance). Submissions must be by 3 November 2026 at 10:00 (hard copy, no electronic tenders). Bid documents may be obtained from KU (procurement) or www.tenders.go.ke, with a non-refundable fee of KES 1,000 for hard copies.

Requirements

• Eligible bidders: Insurance brokers or underwriters providing fire, burglary and fidelity cover; IRA registration.
• Local compliance: Kenyan entity with valid tax compliance certificate and business license.
• Security: Tender security of KES 160,000 valid for 156 days from tender opening.
• Insurance/underwriting proof: Letter from underwriter confirming underwriting for the services; Professional Indemnity limit of KES 15 million; CR12 certificate.
• Documentation: Duly completed confidential business questionnaire; SD1/SD2, declaration to code of ethics, and certificate of independent tender determination; price schedule and form of tender; pages serialized and two copies labeled original/copy.
• Additional: IRA registration evidence (2026); AIBK membership certificate; underwriter’s compliance if applicable.

• Submission method: Hand-delivered to the KU Procurement Department (Main Campus) Tender Box; physical submission only.
