TENDER FOR PROVISION OF INSURANCE SERVICES FOR PERSONAL INSURANCE (WORK INJURY, EMPLOYERS LIABILITY AND GROUP PERSONAL ACCIDENT COVER)

Overview

Kenyatta University invites sealed tenders for the provision of Insurance Services for Work Injury, Employers Liability and Group Personal Accident cover. Open to Insurance Brokers or Underwriters delivering personal insurance (Wrk Injury, Employers Liability & GPA); bidders must be registered with the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) and comply with KU/IRA requirements.

Requirements

• Eligible bidders: Insurance brokers or underwriters providing the specified personal insurance and IRA-registered.
• Tender security: KES 160,000 from a reputable bank/insurer, valid for 156 days.
• Mandatory documents (A1–A14) to accompany the Tender: incorporation/registration, tax compliance, IRA registration evidence, current business license, professional indemnity (KES 15 million), underwriter letter, CR12, confidentiality questionnaire, forms SD1/ITD, price schedule, serialized bid, two copies labeled original/copy.
• Compliance: No IRA status reported to KU; comply with KU/IRA requirements; pre-qualification not indicated as prerequisite.
• Other: Tenders must be serialized, submitted in hard copy with no electronic submission; two copies required; page numbering and authority to sign (Power of Attorney) must be provided.
