Overview

KeNHA invites bids for the Provision of Servicing, Maintenance and Repairs of Motor Vehicles under a Framework Contract. It is an Open Tender open to qualified vehicle service and maintenance providers. Requirements

• Eligible tenderers: may form a JV; joint liability; designate a representative; max number of JV members as per TDS.
• Compliance and integrity: must meet anti-corruption, anti-collusion, and independence requirements; may be audited.
• Conflicts and eligibility: no conflicts of interest; debarment rules apply; open to foreign and Kenyan tenderers with specific nationality and shareholding rules.
• Local content: foreign tenderers must source at least 40% of inputs from national suppliers/contractors.
• Registration and prequalification: may require registration with Kenyan authorities; prequalification rules apply; JV exemptions may be needed for competition authorities.
• Environment and governance: tenderers must avoid harmful production practices and comply with applicable environmental regulations.
• Tender security: KSh 200,000 original security; validity aligned with tender requirements (unconditional bank guarantee).
• Tender documents: complete tender documents include specific forms (Section IV) and schedules; non-compliance may affect responsiveness.

How to Apply

• Obtain documents: from KeNHA website or PPIP, or KeNHA office, upon payment of non-refundable KSh 1,000 (banker’s cheque) (Tender Document).
• Prepare and submit: sealed plain envelope marked with tender name and reference; submit to Deputy Director, Supply Chain Management, KeNHA, Barabara Plaza, Block C, 2nd Floor; tender box submission by the deadline (electronic tenders not permitted).
• Attachments to submit: Original Tender Security (KSh 200,000) in the prescribed format; completed tender forms (Section IV) and other required documents; ensure serialization of the original tender document.
• Clarifications and site visits: there is a mandatory pre-tender/site visit process; questions must be raised in writing; minutes/publications may follow (pre-tender details in the Tender Notice).
• Opening: tenders will be opened publicly immediately after the deadline date/time in the KeNHA Board Room (Barabara Plaza) with attending bidders’ representatives.
