Overview

Kenya Railways invites tenders for the supply and delivery of locomotive spare parts, tools, and consumables for SGR rolling stock maintenance and corrective maintenance for SGR locomotives under a framework agreement for three years. Open to all qualified Tenderers specialized in railway rolling stock spare parts; the contract may engage one or more lots, with no fewer than seven alternative vendors.

Requirements

• Eligibility to tender under ITT 3 (no public officers’ involvement etc.) and no conflicts of interest.
• Bid security of KSh 20,000,000, valid for 240 days from tender opening (Bank guarantee or insurer–issued) or a Tender Securing Declaration.
• If not manufacturing the goods, Manufacturer’s Authorization to supply the goods.
• Tax clearance certificate or equivalent evidence of tax compliance (Kenya).
• Evidence of eligibility of goods and conformity to schedule requirements; origin declarations as required.
• If a Joint Venture, joint venture agreement or letter of intent signed by all members; each member liable for contract.
• Sourcing and substitution rules: items listed must be Kenya-sourced where specified; no substitutions from foreign sources for those items.
• All tender documents must be submitted in English (with translations for supporting docs if needed).
