Overview

Procurement of a service provider to design, supply, install, commission and maintain a lithium‑ion battery energy storage system (BESS) at Kimberley and George Airports for Airports Company South Africa, for 36 months (12 months construction + 24 months defects liability).

This requires behind-the-meter BESS with interconnection to 380/400 VAC 3-phase systems, plus a 60-month maintenance consideration per the technical spec.

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading of 7EP or higher (Kimberley and George airports).
• Mandatory attendance at compulsory briefing sessions and site inspections.
• Submit a complete Form of Offer and Acceptance (C1.1) and SBD forms; sign the Bidder Disclosure (SBD 4).
• Provide tax/compliance documents (Tax Compliance Status PIN or CSD number) and COIDA proof.
• Comply with NEC3 terms (Service Contract), and all referenced standards (UL 9540/9540A, SANS, ERA, Grid Codes).
• Complete returnable documents and provide a fixed-price proposal (no price adjustments for the contract duration).
