Overview

The County Government of Nakuru invites bids for the proposed construction of 2 bodaboda sheds at Maili Kumi across Bahati Ward and 2 bodaboda sheds at Maili Saba and Kabatini in Kabatini Ward, Bahati Sub-County. The tender is an Open National Tender with reservations for Women. Eligible bidders are civil works contractors with relevant experience in small-scale public works; joint ventures are allowed; and compliance with national registration and anti-corruption rules is required.

Requirements

• Tender is reserved for Women; eligibility must meet this condition.
• Register with and be eligible under the National Construction Authority (NCA) prior to award.
• Tax clearance certificate (Kenya Revenue Authority) required.
• Foreign bidders: minimum 40% of contract inputs sourced locally; evidence to be provided.
• Joint Ventures: must nominate a representative; all members jointly and severally liable; JV agreements or letters of intent required.
• No debarment from PP procurement; compliance with anti-corruption and fair competition rules.
• Tender documents to be submitted as: Form of Tender, priced Bills of Quantities, Tender Security or Tender-Securing Declaration, qualifications, and a technical proposal; any JV agreements if applicable.
• Tender validity period as specified in the Tender Data Sheet (TDS).
• Pre-qualification/pre-qualification requirements and site visit may be specified in the TDS.

How to Apply

• Obtain tender documents free of charge from the County’s website or public procurement portal (see attached tender). If not attached, obtain from the same portals.
• Submit both hard copies and soft copies. Soft copies via the supplier portal; hard copies in plain sealed envelopes marked with the Tender Number and Description and delivered to the Tender Box at Nakuru County Headquarters; or sent by post.
• Deadline: 19 Oct 2026 at 10:00 AM (Kenya time) for submission; late tenders will be rejected. For the specific tender, reference: CGN/RTPW/ON T/013/2026-2027; electronic submissions may be allowed as per the tender data sheet (TDS).
• Enclose ORIGINAL tender documents and COPIES in separate envelopes; provide Joint Venture documentation if applicable.
• Pre-tender meeting/site visit details, if required, will be in the TDS; minutes will be published on the web page.
