Overview

Procurement of the service, repair and delivery of Philips defibrillator/monitors. The City of Cape Town (Fire Services) issues an Open Tender (66S/2026/27) for a contract not exceeding 36 months, with pricing evaluated per basket. Bidders should have (a) AED/defibrillator servicing capability in the Western Cape and (b) authorization from the manufacturer to act as an agent for Philips AED/defibrillators.

Requirements

• Compliance with the City’s SCM Policy and returnable documents; no abuse of SCM system.
• Evidence of being an authorized Philips AED/defibrillator/monitor agent in the Western Cape and ability to service locally by qualified personnel (include manufacturer letters and brochures for relevant baskets).
• Registration on the City of Cape Town Supplier Database and on the National Treasury CSD; proof required.
• Tax compliance with SARS; provide valid SARS Tax Compliance PIN (separate for each JV/consortium party).
• Completion and signing of all required forms and declarations (e.g., details of tenderer, declarations of interest, conflict of interest, independent bid determination) and submission of the Price Schedule and other returnable documents.
• Health, safety readiness (provide Health and Safety plan if requested) and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements.

How to Apply

• Site visit/clarification: 12 October 2026 at 09:00 via MS Teams (not compulsory, but strongly recommended).
• Submission: deliver the sealed tender document to Tender Box 182 at Civic Centre, 12 Hertzog Boulevard, Cape Town, by 19 October 2026 at 10:00. If too large for the box, seek alternative instructions at Tender Distribution Office.
• Documents to submit: Form of Offer and Acceptance (signed), Price Schedule, and all Returnable Documents (as listed in Schedule F) including manufacturer authorization letters and brochures; include Tax Compliance PIN; submit via the official tender portal or in hard copy as directed.
• Registrations: ensure registration on the CCT Supplier Database and SARS CSD as required.
