Overview

This tender seeks to establish a panel of contractors for testing, fault locating, cable identification and very low frequency (pressure) testing of LV and MV cables, during normal and after normal working hours, for a period of three years. Bidders should have qualifications for electrical cable testing/ fault locating, meet the 51% black-owned requirement (EME/QSE/generic), reside in SA, and be prepared to participate in a compulsory briefing session.

Requirements

• 51% ownership by black people (EME, QSE or GENERIC).
• Service address within the Republic of South Africa; provide proof of address (municipal utility bill or ward councillor/landlord affidavit).
• Registration on National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Complete all applicable MBD forms and supply tax clearance; tax status verified via CSD; provide PIN for tax compliance.
• Compliance with Regulation 27(2) of the Supply Chain Regulations; sign attendance at compulsory clarification/site meeting.
• Prices must be firm and VAT-inclusive; no defaulters on National Treasury list; subcontracting rules apply for larger awards.
• Returnable schedules completed; proof of local municipal services (or exempt status) submitted prior to award.
• 56-day bid validity.
