Overview

Procurement of a 12-month term contract to supply and deliver general building materials for defective work at Chris Hani District (Eastern Cape DPWI). Open tender; suitable for service providers in building materials, hardware, plumbing, carpentry, and related trades. Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD), be tax compliant, and capable of delivering in-line with DPWI quality and delivery standards.

Requirements

• Register on the Central Supplier Database prior to award (or provide CSD number)
• Tax compliance: SARS PIN; may also submit a SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS) or rely on CSD status (as applicable)
• Complete and sign mandatory SBD forms: SBD 1 (Part A/B), SBD 4 (disclosures), SBD 3.1 (pricing)
• Bid validity period: 90 days from closing date; price and terms fixed for contract duration (no price escalation)
• Special conditions: GCC and SBD 7.1; sureties may be required; security screening/vetting prior to award
• Delivery and quality: materials must meet SANS PW 371 and OHSA standards; DPWI reserves final say on quality; equivalent or better brands allowed
• Pricing: this is a rate-based contract; all costs, including delivery and taxes, must be included; VAT treated accordingly
• Policies: DPWI SCM policies apply; proof of tax and compliance required throughout contract duration
