Overview

Term Tender for the Provision of Veterinary, Emergency, Diagnostic and Ancillary Animal Health Services for the Safety and Security Directorate’s Service Animals. The City of Cape Town invites bids from veterinary professionals or entities to provide canine and horse veterinary services, emergency care, diagnostics and related animal health support for the Safety and Security Directorate’s service animals. Suitable bidders include SAVC-registered veterinarians/facilities within City of Cape Town boundaries, with capability for after-hours and emergency response, and compliance with SCM requirements.

Requirements

• Category A: Veterinary Services for Canines — SAVC veterinarian registration and a Facility Compliance/Facility Registration certificate in the tenderer’s name.
• Category B: Veterinary Services for Horses — SAVC veterinary specialist registration (large animals/horses) and a Facility Compliance/Facility Registration certificate in the tenderer’s name.
• Facility must be located within City of Cape Town boundaries at contract commencement; evidence provided at start.
• Tax compliance with SARS; Tax Compliance Status PIN to be supplied (separate for each JV party).
• Registration on the City of Cape Town Supplier Database and on the National Treasury CSD (separate for each JV party).
• Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act; may require a Health and Safety Plan on request.
• Completion and submission of mandatory SCM documents: Details of Tenderer, Certificate of Authority for Partnerships/JVs, Declarations (Interest, Conflict of Interest, Independent Bid Determination), and related annexes (Annexure A–F as applicable).
• Price Schedule compliance and bid submission in accordance with the Price Schedule (C.4) and Returnable Documents (Annexure F).
• Evidence of relevant qualifications and facility readiness; samples/tests as required by Specifications.
