Overview

The City of Cape Town Waste Services department seeks the supply, delivery, placement and moving of 3m and 6m steel shipping containers under a 36-month term contract. It targets suppliers with experience in container supply/transport, including CW (wind- and watertight) units with CSC validity, and the capacity to relocate containers.

Requirements

• Compliance with the CCT SCM Policy and returnable documents; no SCM abuse.
• Minimum functionality score of 70/100, based on past container experience and vehicle capacity (two 8-ton cranes). Annexure references required.
• Two X 8-ton crane vehicles required (owned or hired with appropriate ownership documents or lease agreement).
• Demonstrable prior experience in supply, delivery, placement, movement and transportation of steel shipping containers; verifiable client references within 10 years.
• Registration on the City of Cape Town Supplier Database and on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD); tax compliance with SARS (Tax Compliance PIN).
• Occupational Health and Safety compliance; provision of a Health and Safety Plan if requested.
• Compliance with conflict-of-interest and related declarations; non-involvement in SCM policy abuse.
• Returnable documents and forms as specified (e.g., price schedule, Form of Offer and Acceptance, deviations, etc.). (See attached tender document: 69S/2026/27.)
