Overview

The SIU seeks a service provider to supply Pest Control Treatment Services for the Western Cape Provincial Office for a twelve-month period. Eligible bidders are Pest Control Operators with valid P-Registration from DAFF, tax-compliant status via CSD, and a BBBEE status certificate; must provide two pest-control reference letters, and be able to perform quarterly fumigation plus monthly pest control (including rat control) at SIU’s Western Cape office (1st Floor, 1165 m2). Services must meet SABS/MSDS standards, enable emergency response within 30 minutes, and may require weekend work and a Service Level Agreement.

Requirements

• Proof of National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) status and tax compliance.
• Conformance to the Scope of Work and PCO registration with valid P-Registration from DAFF.
• Two contactable pest-control reference letters.
• SABS-approved pesticides/rodenticides; IPM framework; MSDS available; treatment reports kept on-site.
• Internal screening/vetting by SIU (and possible SSA vetting); compliance with OHSA and Hazardous Substances Act.
• Potential accreditation with SAPCA and PCIB; service uniforms; adherence to safety/building protection standards.
• Service to cover 1st-floor area of ~1165 m2; fumigation quarterly; monthly pest control; rat control; emergency call-out within 30 minutes.
