Overview

The tender aims to appoint a service provider to provide backup tape media, collection, transportation, and offsite storage services for 36 months (effective 25 October 2026). Eligible bidders are providers with backup media management, secure storage, and logistics capabilities, and must meet security, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Proof of registration on the CSD.
• BBBEE certificate.
• Fully completed SBD Forms (attached) signed and submitted on the company letterhead.
• Compliance with MISA’s mandatory requirements and checklist (security, environmental controls, fire suppression, inventory management) as per the Terms of Reference (see Terms of Reference for offsite Backup Storage 2026.pdf).
• Allowance for vetting/security clearance of staff if required.
• Ability to adhere to the service schedule, service matrix, and penalties for breaches (delivery, collection, storage, and ad hoc requests) as defined in the Terms of Reference.
• Pricing to be provided via the Pricing Schedule (see Terms of Reference).

• Pre-qualifications: CSD registration and BBBEE certification are mandatory.
