Overview

Testing, repairing and commissioning of a faulty 20 MVA transformer at Turfgrond Substation (88/25 kV AC) under Koedoespoort depot. Bidders should be electrical-engineering/construction contractors with CIDB designation 4 EP or higher, CIDB registration, and proven transformer-workshop experience; JV arrangements are allowed with requisite qualifications; a compulsory Clarification Meeting is required (14 Oct 2026, Turfgrond Substation).

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading designation of 4 EP or higher and CIDB registration
• Attendance at the compulsory clarification meeting
• JV eligibility with signaled joint venture arrangements if applicable
• Minimum functionality score of 80 (functions: relevant experience, major workshop resources, workshop personnel, method statement)
• Compliance documents: valid Tax Clearance, SANAS B-BBEE certificate (or sworn affidavit for EMEs/QSEs), CIDB CRS number, CSD registration, and Workmen’s Compensation good standing
• No alternative tenders; English tender offers; 12-week tender validity; site safety PPE and access requirements; confidentiality and due diligence provisions
