Overview

The RFQ seeks to appoint a professional and registered plumbing service provider to repair and upgrade two existing water back-up systems at Luthuli Museum. Bid is open to plumbing contractors with PIRB registration, CIDB 1SO/1CE or higher, and capability to supply, install and test water reticulation, filtration and pumping equipment, with appropriate OHSA/H&S compliance and warranties.

Requirements

• PIRB registration (Plumbing Industry Registration Board)
• CIDB contractor grading 1SO and 1CE or higher (or equivalent via regulations)
• Central Suppliers Database (CSD) registration and full reporting
• Valid SARS Tax Pin, CIPC registration, BBBEE affidavit/certificate
• Director(s) certified ID copies; company profile; CVs/qualifications of key personnel
• At least 3 traceable reference letters (not older than 5 years) and completion certificates for similar tasks
• Proof of PIRB registration; Public liability insurance ≥ R1 Million; COIDA certificate/good standing
• SBD 4 (Bidder Declaration) and SBD 6.1 (Preferential Procurement Claim Form); GCC (initial all pages)
• Evidence of ability to supply/install materials per spec (booster pump, filters, UV, piping) with 2-year warranty on supplied materials
• Site participation: attendance at compulsory site clarification/inspection prior to tender submission
• Tender must be priced to complete within 21 days of appointment letter
• Compliance with OHSA/environmental safety standards and relevant water infrastructure regulations
