Overview

Procurement of an ad-hoc service provider for the service and repairs of civil equipment at King Phalo Airport for 36 months; open to providers with maintenance/repair capability of listed civil equipment and NEC3 Term Service Contract experience. Suitable bidders should have equipment servicing capabilities (bush cutters, slashers, paint machines, chainsaws, ride-on mowers), plus NEC3, OHS, COIDA, tax compliance, and BBBEE qualifications.

Requirements

• Proven capability to service/repair the listed Civil Equipment and provide service reports.
• Compliance with NEC3 Term Service Contract (TSC) framework and allied secondary options.
• Occupational Health & Safety: sign the Occupational Health & Safety Agreement, perform baseline risk assessments, and maintain permits and safe-practice documentation.
• COIDA/FEMA compliant good standing letter; proof of COIDA coverage for employees.
• Tax compliance: SARS Tax Pin (or CSD registration); provide Tax PIN or CSD number; VAT registration as applicable.
• B-BBEE: compliant BBBEE certificate or affidavit; specific goals for preference points.
• Insurance: Public Liability and other cover as required; confirm adequate insurances for on-site work.
• Returnable documents: fully priced SBDs, declaration forms, confidentiality, and related documentation as listed in the RFQ (see RFQ package).

How to Apply

• Briefing: Mandatory site briefing on 2026-07-09 12:00 at King Phalo Airport.
• Submission deadline: 2026-07-24 at 16:00. Late submissions will not be accepted.
• Submission method: Email bid responses to acsarfq@airports.co.za, with multiple attachments (not one large file; four attachments of ~4 MB each recommended) as per RFQ instructions.
• Documents to submit: complete official bid documents including SBD forms, SBD 3.3 priced offer, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, BBBEE documentation, COIDA good standing letter, SARS Tax PIN, CSD/VAT details, and the Pricing Schedule (see attached RFQ documents). Attachments should be titled per RFQ requirements.
• Pre-qualifications: Tax compliance (PIN or CSD), COIDA good standing, CSD registration, BBBEE documentation, and supplier information as specified in the RFQ.

Notes:

• The contract uses NEC3 Term Service Contract and requires adherence to the Service Information in Part C3; minimum site safety and health obligations apply (Part C1.3 OH&S Agreement included in the package).
• The bid includes a 120-business-day validity period for prices; the service period is 36 months from contract start.
