Overview

Procurement of a service provider/s to host ERWAT’s Disaster Recovery (DR) infrastructure in a datacenter for a fixed term. Bidders should be capable of datacenter hosting of HCI equipment, with proven Tier III+ facilities, VXLAN-based replication, secure connectivity, and end‑to‑end DR hosting services. Requirements

• Tier III (or higher) datacenter certification and proof of certification.
• ISO/IEC 27001:2013 (or higher) certification with proof in the bidder’s name.
• ISAE 3000 Type 2 Attestation for the datacenter.
• Datacenter located in Gauteng, SA; proof of facility name/address; and distance requirement from ERWAT Production site (min. 15 km).
• VXLAN-based DR extension: Layer 2 over Layer 3, dedicated VNIs, secure VXLAN tunnels; full vendor config and knowledge transfer.
• 300 Mbps dedicated, symmetrical network link with SLA (min. 99.9%); low latency; encrypted tunnels; monitoring; redundancy.
• Rack space: 42U lockable cabinet, biometric access, 24/7 security; dual power feeds; adequate cooling; remote hands.
• 24/7 monitoring (temp, humidity, power, security) and remote hands for interventions.
• Fire detection/suppression: VESDA, addressable panels, FM/Novec suppression; no water-based systems in racks.
• Data extraction/destroying data at contract end; retention and destruction proof; minimum 6 months record-keeping.
• Tax/compliance: CSD registration; SARS tax compliance PIN; MBD forms; B-BBEE where applicable; foreign supplier pre‑awards if needed.

How to Apply

• Submission method: hardcopy of original bid document to ERWAT tender box; identical electronic copy (PDF) to TenderE-Submission@erwat.co.za (subject with tender reference and bidder name). Electronic copy optional but encouraged. Official submission is the hardcopy.
• Documents to submit: Official bid forms and returnable schedules, including MBD 1, MBD 3.2 (pricing), MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 8, MBD 9, and the Returnable Schedule; pricing must be on the ERWAT form.
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: CSD registration (MAAA); SARS Tax PIN; ensure tax compliance status; for joint ventures, provide joint venture agreement and combined evidence.
• Briefing session: mandatory; register in advance via ERWAT’s site; attendance recorded; queries may be submitted within 10 days after briefing (addenda issued).
