Overview

Procurement of security guarding services for SANBI at the National Zoological Garden, Pretoria, for a period of three years. Bidders should be PSIRA-registered security companies with Gauteng operations, capable of 24/7 guarding, access control, incident response and ongoing staff training. Key prerequisites include PSIRA registrations, CSD/TAX compliance, COIDA good standing, and relevant references.

Requirements

• PSIRA registrations for the company and site staff (including firearm competence and security clearances where required).
• CSD registration and SARS Tax Compliance PIN (or CSD number) for all parties; separate PINS for any JV/consortium members.
• COIDA good standing; minimum Liability Insurance (R5 million per claim); ICASA licence or contract for PTT/communication.
• Bidders must have Gauteng-based office; compulsory site inspection in Gauteng.
• Annexure D pricing; firm prices; 120-day bid validity; PSIRA wage compliance with a 9% annual uplift for years 2–3.
• Five client reference letters (past 5 years) and supporting documents; audited financials; CVs for Site/Project Manager and two Supervisors.
• Health and safety policy; ISO 9001 (optional); track record and infrastructure proof (control room, vehicles, clocking system).
• Compliance with SANBI Special Conditions (Annexure A) and Service Level Agreement concepts.
