Overview

The tender seeks the appointment of a suitable and qualified service provider(s) to render security guarding services to the Department of Agriculture (DOA) at Region 1 (Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo) for 36 months. Bidders should have security guarding capabilities and meet government procurement requirements, including registration with the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and SARS tax clearance, and be able to establish security control room footprints in Region 1.

Requirements

• At least one fully functional security control room in Region 1; provide footprint proof (e.g., municipal accounts, lease, ward councillor letter, or title deed).
• If no footprint in some provinces, establish fully functional control rooms within 30 days; failure to do so may affect the contract.
• Compliance and registrations: register with CSD and include the CSD reference on the bid; provide SARS Tax Compliance Status (PIN) or CSD number; separate TCS for each consortium member.
• Documentation: submit GCC, SBD1, SBD4, SBD5, SBD6.1 forms and a pricing schedule; bid must be in a sealed envelope (details in the bid document).
• Preference and NIP: apply the 90/10 preference point system; comply with NIP obligations for imported content if applicable.
• Performance security: furnish security within 30 days of award; specify acceptable forms (bank guarantee, etc.).
• Scope specifics (Region 1 footprint and DOA requirements) and penalties for non-compliance are defined in the Terms of Reference.
