Overview

Rand Water invites bids for the appointment of service providers to supply, deliver and install cathodic protection rectifiers and monitoring points and maintenance of cathodic protection systems along the Rand Water pipeline network over 3 years. Minimum CIDB grading is 8SD or higher; up to four suppliers may be awarded.

Requirements

• CIDB: contractors must be registered at 8SD or higher (or be capable prior to evaluation); joint ventures allowed under specified conditions.
• Pre-qualifiers: CIDB grade 8 SD or higher; fully completed and signed Form of Offer; no corrections with correction fluids.
• Functional criteria: minimum 70% to progress; includes references, performance history, and HR cap (via a capacity schedule); ISO 9001 or equivalent QMS evidence recommended.
• Evaluation: preferential points (80/20 or 90/10) with price and B-BBEE; specific goal points for B-BBEE, with certificates or sworn affidavits acceptable.
• Documentation: submit original bid plus returnable documents; bid clarity and addenda as applicable.
