THE APPOINTMENT OF TWO (2) SERVICE PROVIDERS TO SUPPLY AND DELIVER GAME PELLETS AND DRY FEEDS, AS AND WHEN REQUIRED, FOR THE SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL BIODIVERSITY INSTITUTE (SANBI) TO THE NATIONAL ZOOLOGICAL GARDEN (NZG) FOR A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS

Overview

The appointment of two service providers to supply and deliver game pellets and dry feeds to SANBI’s National Zoological Garden (NZG) for three years. Bidders should have proven experience in animal feed supply, nutrition/diet formulation, and logistics, with capability to meet SA regulatory and supplier-registration requirements (CSD, SARS tax, tax clearance, and COIDA).

Requirements

• CSD registration report and fully completed SBD forms. (from the bid package)
• Tax compliance: SARS PIN or CSD number; Tax Compliance Status certificate where applicable; COIDA good standing; public liability insurance R1.5M per claim.
• Proof of ownership or leased/licensed 5-ton truck with e-NATIS; vehicle registration and (if required) roadworthy certificate.
• B-BBEE status verification certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Pricing details via Annexure B and delivery/compliance with packaging/labeling requirements.
• Evidence of prior supply/delivery contracts (animal feeding) and at least three reference letters from different clients; five appointment letters over the past 10 years helpful for evaluation.
• Additional: bank rating letter, contingency plans for staffing and supply continuity, and adherence to the SLA framework.
