Overview

• The Cleaning and Maintenance of Reservoir Sites and Pipeline Servitudes for a period up to 30 June 2030. Drakenstein Municipality invites bids from contractors with civil/maintenance capabilities to perform reservoir site cleaning and pipeline servitude upkeep under Tender CES 10/2026.

Requirements

• Compliance with the GCC and special bidding conditions; adherence to relevant specifications.
• Tax compliance in terms of MBD 1 (Part B).
• Registration on Drakenstein Municipality’s supplier database.
• Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the bid number.
• Tender validity of at least 120 days after closing.
• Attendance at a compulsory clarification meeting (17 Sep 2026 14:00, Library Hall, Drakenstein Municipal Offices); non-attendance disqualifies.
• Tender submissions must be made via the process described in the tender documents; telegraphic/late submissions are not accepted.
• Preference Procurement Regulations 80/20; evaluation and contract will follow the municipality’s policy.
• Successful bidder must sign a written contract.

How to Apply

• Obtain tender documents from the Civil Engineering Services reception, Engineering Building, 2nd Floor, Main Road and Market Street, Paarl (electronic copies available; no fee). If collecting physically, a non-refundable fee of R450 applies (see CES 10/2026 TENDER Advert.pdf).
• A compulsory site clarification meeting is on 17 September 2026 at 14:00 at the Library Hall, Ground Floor, Drakenstein Municipal Offices, Paarl (see document for coordinates).
• Submit bids in a sealed envelope in Tender Box 1, Civic Centre, Berg River Boulevard, Paarl, before closing time (08 Oct 2026, 10:00). The tender box hours are 08:00–16:45 (Mon–Thu) and 08:00–15:30 (Fri).
• Ensure bids are on the provided bid documentation and remain valid for at least 120 days after closing.
• If not already on the supplier database, register with the municipality to conduct business.
