Overview

The construction of MGODLWA BRIDGE in Ward 8 is being procured for Ray Nkonyeni Municipality, inviting CIDB 6CE or higher contractors to bid. Eligible bidders should have bridge/construction experience, CIDB grading 6CE+, and be able to meet prequalification and procurement rules (including tax, supplier database, and JV requirements).

Requirements

• CIDB registration: 6CE or higher (or ability to attain prior to evaluation).
• Functionality prequalification (pass ≥60% of 70 points): owner’s expertise, site agent experience, and company’s past bridge/roads projects. Evidence via CVs, appointment letters, and completion certificates.
• Compliance/documents: CIDB certificate or Form F006, Tax Compliance PIN (SARS), CSD number, certified company registration documents, and required declarations (MBD 4, 6.1, 8 & 9).
• JV provisions: if a joint venture, include JV agreement and MBD forms for each party; each party to provide separate TCS/PIN/CSD.
• Preferences: 80/20 scoring (price vs. specific goals) with potential points for local/black-ownership status as detailed in the tender data.
• Other: tender validity 120 days; service of the state prohibition; respond to clarifications; site visits after briefing. (Details are in the tender documents, Part T1.)

How to Apply

• Download bid documents from the e-tenders portal or Ray Nkonyeni Municipality site starting 07 August 2026 (see Part T1).
• Clarification meeting: compulsory, 10:00 on 20 August 2026 at No1 Protea Rd, Marburg (compulsory; site visits after briefing) (see Part T1).
• Submission: fully completed original bid plus one copy, in a sealed envelope marked with Bid Number, to the Bid Box at 10 Connor Street, Port Shepstone; closing 12:00 on 08 September 2026 (no late bids) (see Part T1).
• Documents to submit with the bid: CIDB registration or proof thereof, Tax Compliance PIN, CSD number, company registration documents, declarations (MBD 4, 6.1, 8, 9), and Joint Venture agreements if applicable.
• Additional notes: comply with GCC, CIDB, SANS, and PPPFA requirements; bids from state employees are not allowed.
