Overview

Procurement of paralytic shellfish toxin testing for abalone, to be performed by a service provider (SP) and the results submitted to DFFE/MLRF. The work covers testing 120 abalone samples for listed PST analogues and reporting results within 10 working days of receipt. Suitable bidders are labs with SANAS ISO 17025 accreditation (inclusive of the specified methods), and proven capacity and experience in biotoxin testing of abalone.

Requirements

• SANAS accreditation in ISO 17025 with the PST methods in scope; provide accreditation certificate and scope evidence.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience in Paralytic Shellfish Toxin testing in abalone; supply resume/company profile.
• Demonstrated capacity: adequate staff and equipment; provide an organogram showing roles.
• Compliance documents: CSD registration, tax clearance status, VAT if applicable, SBD 6.1 proof, and related standard forms (SBD1, 2, 3.1/3.3, 4, 6.1).
• Additional: official contract forms (SBD7.x) if awarded; Oracle ERP registration within 7 days of PO; bid validity 60 days.
