Overview

Procurement of the manufacture, test and supply of master locks (padlocks) and keys for electrical and related equipment on an as‑needed basis for 60 months within Eskom Distribution FSOU. Eligible bidders are manufacturers or suppliers of fabricated metal products with experience in padlocks/lock hardware, capable of meeting Eskom’s QA/QMS requirements (ISO 9001) and the Eskom-specified quality systems (QCP/ITP) and master-lock standards.

Requirements

• ISO 9001 Quality Management System with documented QMS and Contract Quality Plan/ITP requirements.
• Compliance with Eskom standard 240-70500896 for master padlocks/keys, including Level 1 mandatory, Level 2 scoring, and Level 3 product samples; adherence to SANS 1533 and corrosion testing.
• Pre-qualification/registrations: SARS Tax Clearance, CSD, CIDB CRS (category/level), SANAS B-BBEE certificate or valid Affidavit, COID certificate.
• Tender returnables and QA evidence: Form A (company/partnership/joint venture/sole proprietor/trust as applicable), Declaration of Fair Tendering Practices, Confirmation of Receipt of Addenda, QCP/ITP documentation, and related ISO 9001/QA evidence.
• Documentation must be complete and auditable; omissions may lead to disqualification per Eskom’s evaluation rules.
