The Moses Kotane Research Institute (MKRI) invites quotations for the supply and installation of networking and security equipment at Mondlo Digital Centre. Bidders should be IT/networking integrators with security system installation capability, BBBEE/compliance credentials, and the ability to provide both networking gear and CCTV/access-control components, plus installation services. The process uses a 3-stage evaluation (admin/compliance, mandatory references, then 80/20 price/preference) and requires adherence to PPPFA 2022.

Requirements

• Complete compulsory SBD forms: SBD1, SBD4, SBD3.1 (pricing), SBD6.1 (preference), and Authority to Sign (see MKRI QUOTATION FORMS).
• Stage 1: achieve a minimum 30 points on functional evaluation.
• Stage 2: submit three signed reference letters on client letterhead for similar networking services (last 5 years).
• Stage 3: 80/20 preference (Prices 80; Specific Goals 20) with evidence for specific goals: ≥51% Black Ownership (BBBEE certificate or affidavit), ≥51% Women Ownership (IDs), ≥51% Youth Ownership (CIPC certificate), ≥30% People with disability Ownership (medical certificate), location within KwaZulu-Natal (proof of address).
• Tax and company registrations: SARS Tax Compliance PIN or TCS (or CSD number if no TCS), CSD No (MAAA), and proof of tax status.
• Location: proof of address to confirm KZN location.
• Other: bid validity 120 days; 10% retention post-installation; 7-day delivery after PO; mandatory briefing attendance.

• Submission deadline: 28 September 2026 at 11:00. Briefing session is mandatory on 23 September 2026 at 11:00, Abaqulusi Local Municipality, Mondlo Thusong Centre.

• Submission method: either deposit in the Bid Box (address in the tender documents) or email to quotations@moseskotane.com.
