Overview

NRF-SAASTA seeks a service provider to deliver architectural design services for renovating the Auditorium and the VC Wood Meeting Hall at the Didacta Building. Bidders should be SACAP-registered architectural firms with professional indemnity insurance, relevant experience (auditoriums/multi-purpose spaces), and the ability to deliver in both hard copy and editable formats. A compulsory briefing is required before bidding.

Requirements

• SACAP registration and Professional Indemnity insurance
• Architect CV showing at least 3 years’ experience with relevant project types
• Minimum three written reference letters OR minimum two completion certificates
• Proof of valid Tax Clearance Certificate or CSD number; SANAS BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit
• Complete and sign all Standard Bidding Documents (SBD1, SBD4, SBD6.1) and annexes
• Attendance at compulsory briefing session (Go/No Go if not attended)
• Cost breakdown on official letterhead; VAT-inclusive pricing
• Final deliverables in hard copy and editable formats (AutoCAD, Revit/BIM where applicable, PDF)
• RFQ will be evaluated under 80/20 preference (up to R1M) with NRF-specific goals

  • Deliverables scope (3D As-Built plans, layouts, A/V, lighting, HVAC, etc.) per RFQ Spec (see Annex C)
  • Any other documents requested in Annexes A–F
