Overview

Procurement of professional services for the design of furniture at King Phalo Airport. Bidders should be interior design/architectural firms with professional IID registration (Senior Interior Designer or higher) and a track record in furniture layouts/designs, ideally for similar refurbishment or upgrade projects. The contract uses NEC3 PSC and requires relevant project management capability and insurance.

Requirements

• IID registration and proof of status as Senior Interior Designer or higher, plus post-registration work experience on similar projects (minimum 2 references).
• A dedicated Project Manager with verifiable experience on similar projects (min. R1,500,000 per project) and professional registration as a CPM (SACPCMP).
• Tax and compliance: valid SARS Tax Compliance Status (PIN) or CSD number, VAT registration, COIDA good standing, and submission of mandatory returnable documents (SBD forms, confidentiality/NDA, BEE certificate/affidavit, etc.).
• Insurance: Professional Indemnity with minimum cover (as per Annex C); other insurances as required by the NEC3 contract data.
• Functionality threshold: minimum 70 points in the functional evaluation, with evidence through references and CVs for key personnel.
• Other: confidentiality obligations, site/vetting requirements, and adherence to the contract data (NEC3 PSC) and returnable schedules (e.g., pricing, scoping).

• Briefing/site inspection: Mandatory briefing 02 July 2026 at 12:00 at King Phalo Airport; site PPE and original ID required.
• Submission contents: Complete bid on official forms; pricing via Pricing Schedule (ANNEX A); Form of Offer/Acceptance and Schedule of Deviations (if any) per Annex C; all mandatory returnables listed in Section 2 (e.g., SBD 3.3, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, BEE, COIDA, CSD, etc.).
• Queries: Questions may be raised until 14 July 2026; responses will be communicated to all invited bidders.
