THE PROVISION OF ROUTINE ROAD MAINTENANCE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR THE PROJECTS IN THE NORTHERN CAPE PROVINCE

Overview

Provision of Routine Road Maintenance Construction Services for SANRAL projects in the Northern Cape Province. SANRAL invites bids from capable road maintenance contractors to deliver routine maintenance under standard SANRAL/FIDIC frameworks, with adherence to local-content requirements and the standard M-series specifications. Suitable bidders are those with road maintenance experience, the ability to deploy permanent maintenance teams, and compliance capabilities for local-content declarations (SATS 1286.2011 Annex C/D/E).

Requirements

• Implement a quality assurance system approved by the Engineer within 28 days of commencement; comply with FIDIC 1999 Conditions of Contract.
• Follow SANRAL’s Standard Specifications for Routine Road Maintenance (Volume M0000–M9000) and project-specific requirements; maintain records via ITIS.
• Complete Local Content declarations (Annex C–E to SATS 1286.2011) (see Bid NRA 2026_0169(B).zip).
• Provide landowner/borrow area agreements for materials outside the road reserve; obtain written consent before entering private property.
• Provide security, wellness and community liaison provisions as specified (PSIRA-graded guards; Wellness Champion; ACT processes).
• Submit daily activity records, maintain setting-out accuracy, and manage temporary traffic and signage as required.
