The Refurbishment of Block “A”, East Ground Floor between The Atrium and the Northern Façade of the Building at Megawatt Park for use by Distribution (Dx) Nerve Centre

Overview

The procurement is for the refurbishment of Block A, East Ground Floor at Megawatt Park to house the Distribution (Dx) Nerve Centre, covering Engineering, Design, Procurement and Construction for Eskom Dx. The project is issued as an Expression of Interest by Eskom Distribution and requires electronic bid submission, with a mandatory briefing session at Megawatt Park (and nationwide clusters; venue in the briefing details). Target bidders are capable building/engineering contractors with NEC3 ECC3 experience, and demonstrated QMS/Environmental management and professional registrations.

Requirements

• Key personnel qualifications (from TECHNICAL EVALUATION CRITERIA): Professional Construction Project Manager (NQF7, SACPCMP) x1; Mechanical Engineer (NQF7, ECSA) x1; Civil & Structural Engineer (NQF7, ECSA) x1; Electrical Engineer (NQF7, ECSA) x1; ICT Diploma; Health and Safety Officer (Diploma, SACPCMP).
• Mandatory: CVs/qualifications for key staff; minimum 80/100 technical evaluation score; 100% sub-contracting not allowed; CIDB registration where applicable.
• Quality and environmental systems: ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Certificates; QCP/ITP documentation; SHEQ requirements including Environmental Management Plan (SHEQ file requirements).
• Standards and contractual: NEC3 ECC3 with related data; Form A contract quality requirements; adherence to Eskom Standard Conditions of Tender; risk, QA and nonconformity controls.
