Overview

The refurbishment, repair, inspection and maintenance of Dust Handling Plant (DHP) equipment at Lethabo Power Station during planned outage opportunities for five years. Target bidders are contractors with heavy industrial maintenance capabilities (mechanical, belt conveyors, ash handling, boiler-making/fabrication) and strong OHS, quality management (ISO 9001) and NEC3 contract experience. The work is governed by a NEC3 Term Service Contract (TSC3) framework for a five-year service period. A site briefing is planned in Fezile Dabi; the project is led by Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd (Gauteng). Submission is via Eskom’s eTendering system with site-specific bid documents available through Eskom’s Tender Bulletin/e-Tender portals.

Requirements

• Proven experience in refurbishment/repair/inspection/maintenance of DHP and associated ash-handling equipment, conveyors and structural weld/fabrication work.
• OHS compliance: sign and comply with Eskom OHS requirements (Annexure B), Eskom induction, COIDA/OSH acts, and Eskom’s safety policies; penalties for non-conformance apply.
• Quality management: demonstrate ISO 9001-based QMS or equivalent per Eskom Supplier Quality Management Specification (240-105658000); provide a Quality Plan, Contract Quality Plan, Quality Control Plan, and related pre/post-contract QA documentation; complete Form ACat2 and related tender returnables.
• Insurance and liability: meet specified insurances, performance bonds and liability limits in the NEC3 contract data (including personal injury, property, and mutiple risk allocations).
• Pre-qualification: CIDB registration, tax clearance, and other Eskom pre-qualifications; compliance with Eskom’s procurement policies (32-1033/32-1034).
• Documentation and process: submit via Eskom eTendering; training acknowledgments and system usage requirements apply (see referenced e-tender training docs).
