Overview

RFQ for the supply, deliver, install, test and commission of a 300kVA UPS unit and UPS batteries at Cape Town International Airport. Bidders should have CIDB contractor grading 3 EB or higher and demonstrate UPS installation experience (electrical/electronics), possess SAQA-accredited qualifications, be tax compliant, and carry required insurances (including COIDA).

Requirements

• CIDB requirement: 3 EB or higher (as per Tender Data).
• Experience: at least three UPS deployment references (not less than 40kVA) with letters/certificates dated within 15 years.
• Personnel: qualified Site Supervisor (CV) and UPS installation technician and electrician with SAQA qualifications; Installation Electrician Certificate (Wireman’s license) required.
• Qualifications: SAQA-certified electrical/electronics qualifications; evidence attached to Form C6/C7.
• Compliance: tax compliance (SARS PIN or CSD number); insurance and COIDA letter prior to contract signing.
• Contract terms: NEC3 ECC with fixed prices; 6-month completion; 5% retention; 10% performance bond; 30-day payment; delay damages; no price adjustments; ethics and confidentiality obligations.
