Overview

Procurement of a comprehensive major service, inspection, testing and condition assessment of the existing diesel standby generator. The NRF/iThemba LABS invites bids from contractors with proven industrial diesel-generator experience, including engine servicing, electrical/control systems, automatic changeover and load testing. The work is a one-off service that includes exhaust repairs, to be performed at iThemba LABS in Johannesburg. A compulsory site briefing is scheduled, with a later submission deadline.

Requirements

• Competent personnel with proven experience in industrial diesel generators; provide qualifications or a company profile and technician details.
• Demonstrated completion of a comparable industrial diesel-generator major service/maintenance in the past 3 years, with client references.
• Submit mandatory returnable documents: Bidder’s Disclosure (SBD 4) and Preference Points Claim (SBD 6.1) with BBBEE documentation.
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and tax/compliance verifications (CSD PIN).
• Pricing must be provided via the Pricing Schedule and remain valid for 60 days; inclusive of VAT.
• Compliance with PPPFA 80/20; provide CSD, tax compliance and BBBEE status as part of the bid.
