Overview

Proposals for provision of WAN services to the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) for a period of five years. Target bidders are ICT/telecom service providers with WAN/SD-WAN design, implementation, hosting/co-location, security, SIP, and related networking capabilities (see TOR). Briefing is mandatory and conducted virtually; work is for SASSA Head Office in Pretoria.

Requirements

• Design, implement, operate, support and maintain a secure, resilient WAN/SD-WAN solution for five years (TOR).
• Mandatory virtual briefing session (MS Teams) and bid enquiries process; questions to be answered within specified timelines (TOR).
• Bid responses must use the official SASSA WAN bid response template and be submitted via the e-Tender portal or tender box (see SBD templates).
• Compliance: tax and supplier registrations per SARS/CSD; provide Tax Compliance Status PIN or CSD number; B-BBEE documentation for preference points (SBD1, SBD4, SBD6.1).
• General contracting framework: GCC-based contract with performance security, delivery, penalties, and dispute resolution (General Conditions of Contract).
• Preference points: 90/10 system (price 90, specific goals 10) per PPR 2022 (SBD6.1). Documentation to claim points required.
