Overview

The CSIR invites bids for the supply and delivery of laboratory reagents and consumables to the CSIR. The scope includes items such as Hach reagents for COD, ammonia, orthophosphate and nitrates, filter papers, pipette tips, pH buffers and storage solutions, to Building 33, CSIR Pretoria Campus. Stock items may be delivered on receipt of PO; non-stock items may be delivered as available, with all items delivered within six weeks of PO. Suitable for suppliers of laboratory reagents/consumables with relevant lab-analytical experience and OEM authorization where required (e.g., HACH).

Requirements

• Essential returnables: Annexure C (SBD 1), Annexure D (SBD 4), Annexure E (Preference Points), Annexure F (Mutual NDA), plus company profile and product catalogue.
• Mandatory: Annexure B (Pricing Schedule) and OEM letter/authorisation for HACH products in SA.
• Compliance: Tax compliance (SARS PIN or TCS/CSD registration), Central Supplier Database registration; avoid NT restricted suppliers or tender defaulters; ensure all mandatory documents are submitted.
• Delivery/Pricing: Prices in ZAR (incl. taxes, exclusions for discounts), pricing schedule, and delivery terms (incl. freight/insurance).

• Submission: Electronically to tender@csir.co.za; use RFQ number and description as subject; max 25MB per email; no cloud transfers.
• Documents: Submit Annexures A–F, Pricing Schedule (Annexure B), OEM authorisation, company profile/catalogue; ensure SBD forms and NDA are included.
• Pre-qualifications: Be tax compliant (SARS TCS PIN or CSD); be registered on CSD and verify tax status for any JV/consortia.
