Overview

The procurement covers the supply, delivery, installation, demonstration and training of personnel for two ophthalmic systems (Zeiss IOL Master 700 optical biometer with an instrument table, and Zeiss Visulus Combi YAG/SLT ophthalmic laser system) with a 3-year service and maintenance contract commencing after OEM warranty expiry, for 2 Military Hospital, Wynberg, Cape Town. Vendors with medical device supply, installation, demonstration and post-warranty service capabilities (including Zeiss-authorised partners) should consider bidding.

Requirements

• Proven ability to supply and install Zeiss ophthalmic equipment or equivalent (IOL Master 700 biometer; Visulus Combi YAG/SLT laser) including any required accessory components.
• Capability to perform on-site installation, demonstration and staff training.
• Provide a 3-year service and maintenance contract commencing after OEM warranty expiry (spares, preventive maintenance, response times).
• Ability to deliver to 2 Military Hospital, Wynberg, Cape Town within the project scope.
• Compliance with Defence procurement processes and open-tender requirements (referenced DOD PROC PLAN 26/27/SAMHS).
