Overview

Rand Water invites bids for linking Sasolburg Pumpset 1 and 2 PLCs to the new Schneider VSDs purchased by the Electrical Department. Eligible bidders are electrical/automation contractors with CIDB grading of 3EP or higher and demonstrated PLC/VSD integration, HMI/SCADA, wiring, and commissioning experience (10418594-View Tender Notice.pdf). Site meeting is not required (Site Meeting: No).

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading of 3EP or higher (or equivalent as per regulations) and registered capability prior to evaluation (10418594-View Tender Notice.pdf).
• Letter of Good Standing (COIDA) and CIDB registration status (T2.1 List of Returnable Documents).
• Complete and submit all returnable documents: pricing schedule/BoQ, compulsory enterprise questionnaire, SBD forms (SBD 4, SBD 6.1), and related certifications (T2.1–T2.2).
• Bid submissions online only via Rand Water Online Bids Application; no email submissions (T1.1–T1.2; 10418594 CIDB.pdf).
• Bid validity of up to 90 days from closing date (T1.2; 10418594 CIDB.pdf).
• Evaluation includes pre-qualification, minimum functionality score of 70/100, then price and BBBEE points (80/20 system) (T1.3.1–T1.3.3).
