Overview

The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (MLRF) seeks to appoint a service provider to supply and deliver personal protective equipment (PPE) for offshore resources research in Cape Town or surrounding areas (Annexure A). This is an open RFQ issued by MLRF/DFFE for PPE and related safety gear, with items ranging from flame-retardant suits and workwear to safety footwear, gloves, masks, and accessories (Annexure A). Local content is specified as 100% for protective clothing.

Requirements

• PPE and related safety gear as detailed in Annexure A (delivery to Foretrust Building, Cape Town) with 100% local content for protective clothing.
• Bidders must be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and have their tax matters in order (Tax Clearance/Tax Compliance Pin; CSD/MAAA supplier number).
• Submit on official forms (SBD 3.3 pricing, SBD 4, SBD 6.1) and include two-part bid: technical and pricing (master and copies).
• The winning bidder must complete a contract form (SBD 7.x) and may be subject to MLRF SCC/GCC terms; delivery within 60 days of Purchase Order.
• Evaluation uses PPPFA 80/20 (price vs. specific goals) with points for specific goals (e.g., black ownership, women ownership, youth, disability) and required proof (SBD 6.1).
• Oracle ERP registration within seven days of notification; payment net 30 days on valid invoices.
