Overview

To provide professional services to investigate potential subsurface instability in the vicinity of the NTCSA Vulcan Substation. The Open-Tender process is run by NTCSA/Eskom for geotechnical subsurface assessment (non-invasive and invasive investigations, site walkover, and reporting) with an 8-month engagement under NEC3 PSC3 framework. Likely bidders are geotechnical/civil engineers and geoscientists with ISO 9001-based quality management experience, and Eskom/SHE compliance capability. Requirements

• Geotechnical capability to perform non-invasive and invasive subsurface investigations and deliver a detailed scope of work (site walkover, risk assessment, geotechnical testing, reporting).
• Compliance with Eskom SHE Specification and Health & Safety requirements (hazard/risk assessments, site establishment, life-saving rules, training, emergency procedures, etc.), plus documented Safe Work Procedures and PPE.
• Quality Management System aligned to ISO 9001 (Supplier Quality Management Specification), including a Contract Quality Plan, Quality Plan, and post-contract quality monitoring.
• Returnables and pre-qualification: complete and sign Annexures A–F (Authorisation, Acknowledgement, Tenderer’s particulars, Integrity Declaration, CPA-related requirements, local content where applicable), plus CIDB proof of grading; submit prices as PDF and an Excel copy; ensure electronic tender submission.
• Designated procurement conditions: adherence to Eskom standard conditions of tender; potential use of NDA and Declaration of Interest; objective criteria as applicable.
