Overview

Procurement of a 5-day professional handgun firearms training program for 6 officials, to be delivered at the service provider’s training facility. Bidders should be training providers with SASSETA accreditation for US 117705, 119649, and 123515, and with PFTC accreditation for the centre and materials. The bid covers delivery, assessments, live-fire practice, participant certification, and competency-application support, with all deliverables aligned to SASSETA standards.

Requirements

• Facilitators must be qualified in Professional Firearms Training and be instructors for accredited PFTC materials; CVs of the actual facilitators must be provided, and replacements must have equivalent qualifications.
• Training must be carried out at the TSP’s (training service provider’s) training facility.
• Must align to SASSETA US 117705, US 119649, and US 123515; include assessments and practical live-fire range activities; include competency-application assistance.
• Accreditation: provide PFTC accreditation for the Centre and PFTC material (MOU if the centre lacks material accreditation); additional professional-body affiliations are advantageous.
• Format and deliverables: provide a Programme Outline per day; specify format (blocks/lecture/assessments); include costing (unit and group costs); deliverables and any value-adds; include aftercare/benefits.
• Timeframe: 5 days; date set for last week of September 2026.
• Format restrictions: NB: no Joint Ventures.
• Attachments to accompany bid: CSD document and Company Profile (Annexure 1 & 2); include Programme Outline per day.
• Additional: Training must include assessments and competency support; include a live-fire range component.
• Tax and supplier compliance: submit SARS Tax Compliance Status (PIN) or CSD number; ensure tax clearance where applicable.
