Overview

Specialist transport of heritage assets (shipwreck cannons) from Port Shepstone Museum to the KwaZulu-Natal Museum in Pietermaritzburg, including deposition in the basement, with a compulsory heritage asset handling site visit. Bidders should have heritage asset handling experience and the capacity to move heavy artifacts (500–650 kg per cannon), plus the required registrations and certifications (CSD, tax, BBBEE).

Requirements

• Heritage asset handling/legacy artifact transport experience.
• Compulsory site visit before responding to the RFQ.
• Ability to transport cannons from Port Shepstone to Pietermaritzburg and deposit in the basement.
• Provide CSD Supplier Number, Tax Pin, and BBBEE Certificate.
• Complete and submit SBD 4 Declaration of Interest; disclose any state relationships of principals.
• Prepare for 80/20 preference points: Black Ownership 6, Women Owned 2, Youth Owned 2, Disability Owned 2, Locality 8; supply required data.
• Quotation validity: 32 days.
