Overview

Independent Development Trust invites bids for turnkey eradication of pit latrines at Indala High School, Kwashange Primary School and Swayimana High School in uMgungundlovu District, KwaZulu-Natal. Bidders should have CIDB Grade 5GB or higher, with construction capability, and be able to provide required professional registrations, insurances and returnable documents. Joint ventures are allowed; local participation is preferred.

Requirements

• CIDB: 5GB or higher (joint ventures allowed with consolidated rating)
• Administrative: CSD full report; consolidated CSD for JV; valid tax clearance; proof of tender document purchase; CIPC certificates and IDs; JV agreement if applicable
• Mandatory: Active CIDB 5GB+, COIDA certificate; Signed SBD 1, SBD 4, and SBD 6.1; Form of Offer; Certificate of Authority; JV agreement if applicable; original CVs/qualifications per discipline; VAT 15% on BOQ; attendance at compulsory site briefing
• Insurances: Public liability (R5M+) and professional indemnity (R5M+); OHS management certifications (SACPCMP/SACQSP/ECSA as listed)
• Personnel: Construction Project Manager (PrCPM/PrCM SACPCMP), QS (SACQSP), Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineers (ECSA), OHS Manager (SACPCMP)
• Other: Bills of Quantities completed in ink; CCID/Tax status evidence; minimum 70% functionality threshold; 80/20 preference for price vs. specific goals; minimum submission requirements for JV partners
• Duration: approx. 8 months (design 2 weeks, construction 6 months, defects 4 weeks, documentation 2 weeks)
