Overview

Two-year term contract for the supply, servicing, repairs and maintenance of mechanical equipment (HVAC) for Amathole District and Buffalo City Metro Cluster Three. Open tender by the Eastern Cape Department of Public Works and Infrastructure; CIDB grading 3ME or higher; suitable HVAC experience, qualified personnel and CIDB/CSD/tax-compliance prerequisites apply (Tender Document).

Requirements

• CIDB: 3ME or higher; lead partner in a JV must meet ME grade; joint ventures eligible with compliant JV agreements.
• Registration/compliance: active CIDB status; Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration; Tax matters in order (SARS PIN or CSD verification); VAT status if applicable.
• Qualifications: certified refrigeration/air-conditioning qualification; authorised refrigeration practitioner; technician with certified ID; SAQA evaluation for foreign qualifications.
• Returnables: SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1; Compulsory Enterprise Questionnaire; at least 3 project references; complete priced BOQ and Final Summary; CIDB certificate; CSD report.
• Insurance/financial: insurer undertaking for performance bond after appointment.
• Local content: declaration certificates; maximize Eastern Cape-based material sourcing; locality points applicable.
• Other: POPIA consent; compulsory briefing attendance; adherence to NEC3 terms; no-alternative tenders.
