Overview

Upgrading of Bulk Water Pipeline from Wesbank Reservoir to Malmesbury/Abbotsdale: Phase 2, a construction project. Tender is targeted at civil engineering/construction firms with CIDB CE class registration and a suitable grading. The estimated contract value is between R10 million and R20 million. Preferences are available under the 80/20 system for bidders meeting B-BBEE and locality criteria, with eligibility limited to those meeting Tender Data criteria.

Requirements

• CIDB registration in CE class with grading equal to or higher than that determined for the tendered sum (or compliant with Regulation 25).
• Estimated contract value between R10 million and R20 million.
• Eligibility criteria as stated in the Tender Data; only those meeting them may submit.
• Non-refundable tender fee of R530, payable prior to collection (cash or EFT to Swartland Municipality).
• Tender documents available only in hard copy; allow 2 business days for EFT clearance.
• Compulsory Clarification Meeting: 21 August 2026 at 10:00; venue Banquet Hall, Malmesbury; registration closes 10:05.
• Annexure MBD 6.1 must be completed to claim preference points; B-BBEE verification certificates and locality proof must accompany bids.
• Duly completed tenders in sealed envelopes to be deposited before 12:00 on 11 September 2026.
